Sally Gonzalez is a seasoned mission-driven leader with over 20 years of experience in driving operational excellence across finance, technology, human resources, and strategic planning. Recognized for her ability to identify and implement impactful improvements, Sally fosters a collaborative environment to deliver measurable results for organizations in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors.

Currently, Sally serves as the Managing Director of Finance and Operations at Impact for Equity, a leading public interest law and policy center. In this leadership role, she oversees all financial and operational functions, ensuring organizational stability and growth. Previously, Sally held leadership positions at prominent organizations, including Vice President of Operations at the Better Government Association (BGA) and Director of Business Administration at Cara Collective, an industry leader in workforce development and poverty alleviation. For six years, Sally focused her skills on Clean Slate, a workforce social enterprise that hires employees who have high barriers to employment such as criminal background and substance abuse, where she created a strategic recruitment system to drive Cara’s vision of fueling a courageous national movement to eradicate relational and financial poverty.

Sally is a dedicated learner and advocate for social impact. She completed the prestigious SocialEnterprise certification program at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and was recognized as a 2019 “Future Innovator” by REDF, a venture philanthropy focused on empowering individuals facing employment barriers.

A proud Chicagoan, Sally is passionate about her community. When she’s not leading positive change through her work, you’ll find her cheering on the Cubs, enriching her neighborhood by attending local festivals, or volunteering at food pantries in Chicago’s West Humboldt Park.
