Developing systems to ensure Chicago’s rental housing is safe and healthy
Everyone deserves a home that is not only affordable but also conducive to a decent standard of living. That’s why Impact for Equity partners with the Chicago Healthy Homes Coalition to encourage the improvement of the conditions of rental homes in Chicago. As part of the Chicago Healthy Homes Coalition, we are working to develop a new, proactive housing registration and inspection program that prioritizes tenant privacy, health, and safety without displacing long-term residents.
