Staff Counsel, Housing

Mallory serves as Staff Counsel on Impact for Equity’s housing team and previously served as a Polikoff-Gautreaux Fellow. In her role, she represents public housing residents and applicants in Gautreaux v. Chicago Housing Authority, and she advances legal and policy strategies to address barriers to fair housing.

Prior to joining Impact for Equity, Mallory held roles in the Durham, North Carolina City Attorney’s Office, in the Central Pines Regional Council, and with the North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence. 

Mallory holds a JD from the University of North Carolina School of Law, a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of North Carolina School of Government, and a BS from High Point University.  She has published An Ever-Narrowing Divide: Morality and Decriminalizing Sex Work in North Carolina.
