Managing Director of Finance and Operations
Sally serves as the Managing Director of Finance and Operations at Impact for Equity. She supports the organization on all financial and operational matters including reporting and financial management, information technology services, operations and human resource matters.
Sally is a seasoned mission-driven leader with over 20 years of experience driving operational excellence across finance, technology, human resources, and strategic planning. She has held leadership roles at prominent organizations, including Vice President of Operations at the Better Government Association (BGA) and Director of Business Administration at Cara Collective, an industry leader in workforce development and poverty alleviation. For six years in this role, Sally focused her skillset and passion on CleanSlate, a Cara Collective’s workforce social enterprise that hires individuals with barriers to employment, such as criminal backgrounds and substance abuse. She created a strategic recruitment system to advance Cara’s mission of eradicating relational and financial poverty.
Sally is a Social Enterprise certified professional from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a 2019 “Future Innovator” recognized by REDF, a venture philanthropy focused on empowering individuals facing employment barriers. She serves on the Board of Directors of Saint Leonard’s Ministries and the Woodlawn Advisory Council. A native Spanish speaker, Sally is passionate about leveraging her skills to create a more equitable future for those with the most barriers.
